Each GAD object has a Details page on the system with the following information:
Details - Shows all metadata for the object.
Location - Shows partially located attribute of all GAD objects (except for activities). Contains option to view the object on the map.
Associated Objects - Shows summary grids of any associated objects and allows you to view their object details.
Activities - Shows time-stamped actions taken on any GAD object.
Attached Files - Shows any files attached to the object or any related child objects. E.g. a Condition Set would show any files attached to its related Condition Items.
Audit log - Shows the complete history of the GAD object.
From the Details page on the system, you can:
View all the information about an object stored on the system, including any Attached Files.
Edit the information, and view historic versions to understand changes over time.
Access the details page for associated objects, and Create new associated objects.
The various ways you can find and navigate to the details page for an object are described below.
The Summary Grids list all the objects which you have access to view, alongside some key details.
You can access Summary Grids for the main GAD objects (Assets, Items and Sets) at Main Menu > Geotechnical.
Filter and sort the full grid on the various fields to find the particular object(s) you are interested in.
To view the details page for an object, select it and click View ... on the command bar. For example the button to view inventory items is View Inventory Item.
To toggle whether Archived objects are included in the grid click Include Archived on the command bar.
You can export the currently filtered grid of objects as a CSV for analysis outside of the system by clicking Export to CSV on the command bar. See here for further guidance on this tool.
The objects which are associated with a Geotechnical Asset can be accessed from its detail page. The Asset details section menu showing which objects which can be viewed is shown below:
Select an object type from the section menu, and all the associated objects of that type will be listed in a summary grid.
To view the details page for an object, select it and click View ... on the command bar.
Any Condition Items associated with a Condition Set can be accessed from its details page.
Any Inventory Items associated with an Inventory Set can be accessed from its details page.
Any Condition Items associated with an Inventory Item can be accessed from its details page.
Activities applied to an object can be viewed from the object details page. Select Activities on the object's Section menu to view all activities associated to that object.
Activities can also viewed from the Activities grid, which is shown when the user is prompted to assign an activity to an object. Press View Activity to see the Activity Details.
Within Activity details you can see every object the Activity has been assigned to along with Activity information such as Date and Description. The image below shows the Activity Section Menu.
In the section menu, you can view the following:
Details - Activity meta data such as Date, Description and Area.
Objects (Assets, Items etc) - Every object that the Activity has been assigned to.
Audit log - shows Activity history.
Assets, sets and items can be selected on the map to bring up a dialogue box with basic information. Click View Details to be directed to the object's Details page in a new tab. Click here for more details.
Map Geometry Search can be used to find GAD objects within a specified area on the map.
To view each object within that area select the desired object from the Summary Grid and click View.
Map Geometry Search will find anything that falls partly or wholly within your selected extents.
Assets, sets and items can be searched by the selecting an IAM-IS Maintenance Segment from the map, as detailed here.
GAD objects can be directly accessed from the Quick Search Box with prefix codes found here.
