Activities

Activities are time-stamped actions taken on any GAD object. This includes creation, inspections, approval, archiving etc.

Activities are additional to the audit log. A record may be edited multiple times during one inspection, each edit is part of the audit log, but all would be associated with one inspection activity. 

Creating an Activity

Activities can be created by either going Menu > Geotechnical > Create Activity or using the Command Bar in the Activites grid.

The following fields must be entered to create any type of activity :

Free text box to provide description of activity.

Associating Activities to GAD Objects

Every time you create, edit, approve or archive a GAD object you will need to associate an activity to the object.

To assign an Activity you will be directed to the Activity summary grid. Select an existing Activity from the grid or click Create Activity from the Command bar to create a new Activity.

Filter and sort the summary grid to quickly find the existing Activity you want to use.

To associate an activity select the activity from the grid and press Save.

Activities applied to an object can be viewed from the object details page or the Activities grid, see here for more details.
