Quick Search
It is possible to quickly search for data by typing search terms in the box provided in the Main Screen and pressing 
.
ID Search
Details for the following objects can be directly accessed using the Quick Search Box by entering its associated prefix code and Id:

For example searching "GA: 12345" would take you straight to the details for Geotechnical Asset Id 12345.
General Quick Search
A general search of objects in GDMS can be performed using the Quick Search box without a prefix code. The following objects are searched in general quick search:

Geotechnical Assets
-
Reports
-
Geodatasets
Results with an exact match to the search term will be returned in a summary grid. For example typing 'M4 J3-J4' will return any of the above objects with 'M4 j3-J4' in its meta data (e.g. location description).

Be aware that the Quick Search Box will not search the contents of PDFs. Report PDFs can be searched for using Report Text Search.
