Searching for and viewing a spill
Spills held in GDMS can be searched and viewed by the following means by all users of the system:
- A map layer shows all spills, which can be clicked to show a popup (3) including a hyperlink to the full details (4). Spills can be viewed on the map in GDMS in two ways: by (1) severity and (2) status. These layers are found in the spils legend section, as shown in the figure below.
- All spills can be viewed in a summary grid, accessed from the Main Menu > Spills > Spills Summary. This summary opens in a new window with a table of all spill records, which can be filtered and sorted as required. You can view records or view the spill on the map as required. Also, a csv export of the summary can be obtained by clicking Export CSV on the Command Bar.
- Users with “Manage” or “Review” permissions for spills, can access open or recently added/updated spills from the Dashboard. The dashboard allows the user to view details of specific spills.
