What is a "flood"?

Floods are defined in CD 535 as “a single incidence of flooding on or within 200m of a carriageway or within 500m of a drainage asset, at a particular location and time”.

It is a requirement of CD 535 that all floods are added to GDMS within 7 days of being reported and closed within 28 days.

In GDMS, Floods are recorded as a point location and are the basis for the sub-catchment Flood Risk calculation.
