To archive an asset system in GDMS, go to Main Menu > Drainage Assets > Archive Assets Systems.
Before you archive an asset system, ensure you know the location of the asset system.
A map window will appear, where you can zoom to the asset system you wish to archive.
There you can define the extents of the asset system to be archived. Once you define the extents, a pop up window will appear to the right. All of the asset systems within the user defined extents will be listed. You can select which extents you wish to be archived. Press Archive when you have all asset systems selected you wish to archive.
You cannot select asset systems that are locked.
Archiving an asset system is irreversible, so you will be asked to confirm you are happy to archive.
It will tell you when the archiving process is complete. Press Close to finish the archiving.
Drainage assets that have been archived will no longer be visible on the map, but can still be accessed from the respective drainage asset summary grids.
