integrated hardware GPS/GNSS receiver (external Bluetooth/USB receivers are not supported)
minimum 4GB RAM
minimum 64GB storage
Intel or equivalent 64-bit processor recommended (ARM processors not recommended)
the tablet requires an internet connection while downloading and syncing data from GDMS, but is fully functional offline while viewing/updating data during inspections
Installation instructions are provided within the TabletGAD zip file available on the Downloads page.
Uninstalling TabletGAD will permanently and irretrievably delete all GDMS package data from the device. You must sync or manually input all data before uninstalling TabletGAD. GDMS support cannot retrieve data that has been deleted from your tablet. Updates to the TabletGAD software may require you to uninstall an existing version before you can install the new version. In the event that you cannot sync or input all data, then please see guidance below for backing up your data, but this is not a substitute to syncing or inputting your data into GDMS.
If you want to back up your data at any time you can make a copy of the LocalState folder which can be found in the following location and rename the copy folder as appropriate. C: > Users > Device Name > (View hidden items selected) App data > Local > Packages > 8dbf524b-…
If there are issues with the download or data is missing, check the Log folder which is located in C: > Users > Device Name > (View hidden items selected) App data > Local > Packages > 8dbf524b… > LocalState > logs – then use the date modified details to check which log to look at.
