To edit a spill (other than location), first navigate to its spill details page, then click Edit on the Command Bar. A form will appear for you to edit the data.
There are three pages where data can be edited for a Spill. On each page (Details, Causes, Actions and Impacts), you must save any changes before moving to the next page otherwise all changes will be lost.
Location related data needs to be edited through Edit Location on the Command Bar process. The locating land page will appear, and the location can be updated using the coordinates of the map. You will have to update the sub-catchment also, once location has been updated.
After editing the data or location of a spill, click Save to complete the edit. Upon clicking save, this will:
Records on GDMS are no longer 'Superseded' and replaced by a new record when a change is made, as occurred on the legacy system. Instead, the existing record is edited and an entry is added to the Audit Log to record the changes. Historic versions of a record can still be viewed.
