Creating projects
Users with “Edit “ or “Manage” permissions can create a project within the Area(s) they hold permissions. The steps are as follows:
- To create a project, go to Main Menu > Projects > Create Project.
- A form for entering details about the project will appear. All mandatory data needs to be populated in order to save and create the project.
- On the next page, when the project has been created, there will be a summary of all user populated data. There are also options for you to set the extents of the project, update the project associated roads, as well editing the data you input.
- On the Set Extents page, you must either select if the project is non-locatable (if it doesn’t cover a specific geographical location) or continue to locate the extents on the map if known.
- If you are going to locate a project, you must draw the extents on the map. There are options to redraw or cancel. You must save once happy.
- You must then associate the project to roads on the National Highways network. You can do this from the Update Roads button on the Command Bar.
- On clicking that button, a grid of all roads will appear. This can be filtered to find the desired roads. You can select multiple roads, as required. When done, click Finish Updating.
