A "Manage" or "Review" user can use the Mark As Seen button to record that they have viewed a geotechnical event in GDMS at a specific date/time. This is shown as an entry in the audit log. No other change is made to the event data.
If a "Manage" user is also making any edits to the event at the same time, then these are captured in the audit log, and it is not necessary to additionally mark it as seen (although this will not have any adverse impact).
In common with most other viewing actions on GDMS, the action of viewing a geotechnical event is not otherwise logged.
